The Major League Baseball draft takes place this weekend in Philadelphia in the middle of All-Star Week.

Few questions surround the status of the LSU players who were on the 2026 team. Outfielders Derek Curiel and Jake Brown will forego their college eligibility for pro baseball. Both Curiel and Brown are expected to be picked on Saturday when four rounds are held.

Pitcher Devin Sheerin is projected to go early Sunday and sign a professional contract.
