Huge shoes for Lawrence and Fehoko to fill

Rashard Lawrence is the only returning starter among LSU’s defensive down linemen.

Ankle injuries bothered Lawrence throughout the first half of the 2017 season. He finished with 32 tackles, including 3½ behind the line of scrimmage. Lawrence had 1½ sacks.

Breiden Fehoko is the only other Tigers defensive down lineman who has been a full-time starter. Fehoko, who sat out last season as a transfer, was a two-year starter at Texas Tech.
